At Paua HQ based in the UK we have a dedicated R&D innovation facility leading our customers product design and rapid prototyping. Our in-house highly experienced product designers translate first stage ideas and concepts into drawings, CAD files and physical prototypes.
Paua have carefully selected experienced OEM’s and factories that we work with globally for managing customers mass manufacturing of products.
DESIGN & RAPID PROTOTYPING
Step 1
Customer identifies an existing product or concept where Paua packaging materials technology could provide the required solution to their challenges.
Step 2
Customer and Paua enter into non-disclosure agreement and product or concept idea is provided by the customer to Paua.
Step 3
Design is created by one of Paua’s in-house consultants, initial prototypes at Paua’s UK innovation facility are built in accordance with customers specification .
PRODUCTION / MASS PRODUCT MANUFACTURE
Step 4
Prototype refined as necessary so as to be ready for mass manufacture via Paua’s affiliated manufacturing partners or customer’s own factories.
Step 5
If required framework licence agreement entered into between Paua and customers, which provides customer with certain rights to use Paua materials packaging technology in its products.
Step 6
Paua provides specialist support and knowledge, and connects customers to relevant third parties facilitating a swift route to market for customers new product.
Production and Manufacture
Once a prototype design has been refined and is ready for mass market manufacture, a customer can either produce products through its own factories or through one of Paua’s manufacturers.

We chose our manufacturing partners based not only due to the high quality of workmanship evident in their products but also because of their green manufacturing credentials and philosophies surrounding social responsibility.

The inner foam used within Paua materials technology can be of varied thickness and density.
Permitting the tailoring of bespoke properties as are required by your product.
Fine decals and/or branding can be applied beneath surface films.
Permitting high quality designs to be added to products that maintain non-fading colour, are durable and have sustained longevity.
If your product is particularly susceptible to abrasion through its use.
Additional surface films can be applied to the top skin which substantially increases scratch resistance and significantly reduces any risk of tearing.
